Requirements

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production of chair components. This role ensures machinery is set up correctly, runs efficiently, and produces high-quality parts that meet company specifications


Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor machines used for cutting, shaping, drilling, or finishing chair parts 
  • Load raw materials and components into machines safely and accurately 
  • Adjust machine settings and tooling to meet production specifications 
  • Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications 
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting 
  • Document production quantités, machine performance, and maintenance activités 
  • Report equipment malfunctions, defects, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately 
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE 
  • Collaborate with production team members to maintain workflow and meet daily production goals 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S and safety standards
  • Any other job duties assigned


Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED preferred 
  • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred 
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical drawings 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills 
  • Attention to detail and quality control awareness 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Basic math skills for measurements and machine adjustments
