The Childcare Assistant Teacher creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes all children and families while promoting and maintaining a strong educational program in accordance with the YMCA and licensing and quality requirements. The Octorara YMCA is hiring 2 Assistant Teachers (Infant 7 AM to 1 PM and Preschool 1 PM to 6 PM)  Who Are We? QualificationsWhat You'll Need Must have a high school diploma or GED and 2,500 hours of service (2 years) of childcare experience preferred 30 credit hours of early childhood, elementary or related human services field education, OR 15 college credit hours and one-year experience related to the care    Current CDA certificate preferred   Must keep an up-to-date DHS file    Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire Work Conditions and Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
