We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Junior IT Administrator to join our Information Technology team. This role is responsible for providing end-user support, assisting with account administration, managing IT assets, and supporting the organization's network and systems infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is an early-career IT professional with strong troubleshooting skills, a willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering exceptional technical support. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with enterprise systems, networking, virtualization, and cybersecurity while working alongside experienced IT professionals.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, wireless networking, and network troubleshooting.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting network-connected devices, including printers, VoIP phones, wireless access points, and switches.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory user and group administration.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user access issues.
Experience using help desk ticketing systems and documenting technical support activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and vendors.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new technologies and grow in systems and network administration.

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Relevant certifications such as A+, Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Experience

1-3 years of IT support, help desk, or technical support experience.
Experience supporting Windows desktop environments and end users.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues and supporting LAN/WAN, wireless, and networked devices.
Experience with Active Directory, user account management, and basic systems administration.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Freshservice or similar service desk platforms.
Exposure to VMware, Nutanix, or other virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with Cisco or Meraki networking environments.
Experience with mobile device management.
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Experience supporting MacOS devices is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to move and set up computer equipment and peripherals.
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
Occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year
