Job Summary

Dawar Consulting is seeking a GMP Cleaning Technician to support Genentech’s Innovative Therapies program in Hillsboro, Oregon. Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position will perform routine cleaning and maintenance activities within GMP-controlled areas while following established safety, quality, and documentation procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning of GMP areas, including ceilings, walls, floors, drains, stainless steel surfaces, windows, and ledges.
  • Maintain GMP floors, including epoxy, concrete, rubber tile, and sheet vinyl, through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and other approved methods.
  • Vacuum and dust vents within GMP areas.
  • Collect and dispose of non-biological waste and recyclable materials throughout GMP areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures, protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the Supervisor/Manager to schedule daily work and assignments.
  • Verify that all work is performed according to current procedures and established standards.
  • Complete required training in SAP and use SAP for work-order execution.
  • Prepare and communicate nightly site activity updates to the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Maintain inventory of GMP cleaning supplies and escalate supply or operational issues as needed.
  • Complete documentation accurately in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Report issues related to quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Supervisor.
  • Perform routine tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and effective communication at all times.
  • Safely operate cleaning and facility equipment as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience cleaning GMP-controlled areas or spaces.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation and paperwork.
  • Ability to safely work around cleaning chemicals and facility equipment.
  • Experience using equipment such as:
    • Floor scrubbers
    • Scissor lifts
    • Manual pallet jacks
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds, including boxes, mop buckets, and furniture.

Work Environment

  • 100% onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon
  • Evening/night shift: 4:00 PM–12:30 AM, Monday–Friday
  • Work is performed in GMP-controlled/facility areas and may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Position requires standing, walking, repetitive movements, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
