Summary

The HR Assistant will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to candidates, visitors and other guests of the Souderton facility. This position performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations for the Souderton human resource department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures professional, courteous and welcoming environment for candidates and guests.
  • Assists with recruiting by scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
  • Coordinates pre-employment physical, drug screen, and lift test as applicable.
  • Coordinates new hire onboarding, orientation and employee documentation.
  • Ensures the proper flow and timeliness of office correspondence for the HR team, including mail, phone calls, email and faxes. 
  • Ensure proper records retention, destruction and disposal to company with law and policy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee, candidate, and company information at all times.
  • Assists with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of employee training sessions, employee engagement events and initiatives, and other facility meetings. 
  • Provides administrative support to the HR department, including document preparation, filing, reporting, and special projects.
  • As needed, supports other departments with administrative tasks.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and company information with discretion
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, recordkeeping, information management, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
  • Ability to interact professionally and collaboratively with employees, candidates, internal stakeholders and other team members.
  • Process a high level of dependability, reliable attendance and punctuality.  

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree in HR, Business Administration, or related filed preferred.
  • Two (2) years experience in an administrative role required, HR administration experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred. 
  • Prior HRIS systems experience preferred

  5.  Exposure to moderate noise level while in office 
  6. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
  7. Occasionally required to climb stairs or access elevated surfaces
