Head of Cannabis Extraction and Edibles

Viridian Staffing's (www.viridianstaffing.com) Client is looking for an experiencedCannabis Extractor and Edibles Leader who specializes in rosin to join afast-growing cannabis company in the Southeast New Mexico area a little over anhour Northwest of Odessa, Texas.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing (www.viridianstaffing.com) is the original staffing, recruiting,and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting thecommercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to managethe day-to-day extraction and edible operations of a regulated, cannabisfacility. You will oversee the continued scaling up of extraction operations.You'll establish and document SOP's and ensure you're in compliance with allregulations and SOPs relating to safety, security, and health. As the LabManager, you are managing the process, so you are willing to roll up yoursleeves and do the work yourself.  Your prior direct reports consideryou to be a collaborative leader with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who is dedicated tosetting the organization up for success.

Your background should be a Bachelor's degree orhigher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or relevant degree and at least 3+ years ofexperience in a laboratory environment and 1+ years' experience managing thelab. The ideal candidate for this position will have 3+ years of experience inmanaging a cannabis extraction lab.  Experience making Cannabis rosin is required.  You have knowledge/experience doing varioustypes of extraction and have run a regulated Edibles kitchen.  Ideally you have product formulationexperience as well.  You have strongcommunication skills, enabling you to explain (and you enjoy explaining)complex scientific information to non-scientific individuals. Compensation:  Starting at $60K
