Fitness Attendant-

JOB SUMMARY:

The Fitness Attendant performs a wide variety of duties, including daily maintenance and cleanliness of weight room and equipment, ensures a safe environment for Members and guests.

Essential Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following and other duties related to this position as may be assigned.

Greets the Member and guest and ensures they have what is needed for their session.

Ability to prepare the Exercise Pavilion for operation at the beginning of the day and/or shut down the facility at the end of the day.

Maintains the Pavilion by wiping down machines after use, clearing floor of equipment and dusting as necessary.

Assists personal trainers and physical therapists when needed.

Ensures the facility is kept clean and bathrooms are checked throughout the day.

Re-stocks towels, cups, and other fitness amenities as needed.

Assists Members and guests with program/class information.

Assists Members and guests with operation or choice of equipment when prompted.

Wears proper uniform and maintains a high standard regarding personal appearance as outlined in the employee handbook.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Employee must have the ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing. Excellent people skills are essential, especially being friendly and enjoying assisting older individuals. Must have knowledge of basic workout skills and how equipment functions. High School diploma or GED.
