Many team members are cross-trained in more than one area.Cashier Ring up sales accurately and handle cash, card, and other payments Greet shoppers, answer questions and explain promotions and color-tag sales Keep the checkout area clean and stocked Help on the sales floor when the registers are quietSorter / Hanger / Tagger Sort donated clothing and household goods by quality, type, and season Hang, and tag items to store standards Keep production goals moving so the sales floor stays full Keep the production area clean and safeGrader Inspect donated clothing, shoes, housewares and other goods, and decide what is ready for the sales floor Check items for stains, damage, missing parts, and safety recalls, and pull anything that can’t be sold Price items using Goodwill pricing guidelines and your sense of brands and value Send non-sellable goods to outlet, salvage or recycling according to store procedures Meet daily production goals and keep the work area clean and organizedDonation Attendant Greet donors at the drop-off and thank them for their donation Unload donations, and offer tax receipts when donors ask for one Sort and move donations into the back room safely and quickly Keep the donation area clean, organized, and safeWhat we’re looking for Friendly, dependable and good with customers Able to work as part of a team and follow store procedures Open availability, including weekends and holidays Retail, cashier, warehouse or customer service experience is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of shoe brands and current trends.  Education and/or Experience: Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.  Math Ability: Level 1: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.  Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have beginner knowledge of  Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.  Purchasing Authority: No Purchasing Authority  SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (e.g. physical or environmental requirements, irregular work schedule, required license or certification, background check)  Physical and Environmental Requirements: Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Standing and walking for long periods of time. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull. Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).  Language Ability: Level 2: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.  Reasoning Ability: Level 2: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.  License and Certifications: This position does not require any certifications or licenses.
