Position Summary – Safety Intern Â
The Safety Intern will support the Safety team in promoting a strong safety culture across active construction projects. This role provides hands-on experience in construction safety practices, compliance, and field operations. The intern will gain exposure to real-world jobsite conditions while contributing to meaningful safety initiatives.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Assist with daily jobsite safety inspections and audits Â
- Support implementation of company safety programs and policies Â
- Help ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards Â
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and trainings Â
- Observe and document jobsite conditions, identifying potential hazards Â
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and documentation Â
- Track and organize safety data, logs, and compliance records Â
- Partner with field teams to reinforce safe work practices Â
- Contribute to continuous improvement of safety proceduresÂ
Position QualificationsÂ
- Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field Â
- Strong interest in construction safety and field operations Â
- Basic understanding of OSHA standards (preferred)Â Â
- Excellent attention to detail and observational skills Â
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills Â
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, active construction environment Â
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Â
Physical RequirementsÂ
- Ability to walk jobsites, climb stairs/ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Â
- Must be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety vest, boots, etc.)Â
