About the role

Kitchen Food Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Recruiter who is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates to support production, quality, logistics, and support functions in a ready meal manufacturing facility. This role partners with operations and HR to ensure staffing levels meet business needs while promoting a positive candidate’s experience and compliance with employment regulations.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract talent for hourly and salaried roles in production, sanitation, quality assurance, logistics, and maintenance

• Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and candidate profiles

• Post job ads, manage applicant tracking systems, and screen resumes

• Conduct interviews and coordinate hiring processes including reference checks and onboarding

• Attend job fairs, community events, and build relationships with local workforce development agencies

• Maintain compliance with EEOC, AAP, and company hiring policies

• Track and report recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality

• Support seasonal and high-volume hiring campaigns

• Promote employer brand and employee value proposition in all recruitment efforts

• Assist with onboarding and orientation programs for new recruits

Work Health and Safety 

• To champion a culture of safe working

• Ensure all company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are followed

• Ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, the health and safety of workers while they are at work

• Ensure consultation with employees on health and safety issues

Food Safety 

• Ensure operations are according to our food safety policies and processes including our HACCP and GMP programs

• Ensure control of any food safety risks

• Work alongside site Technical to investigate any unexpected occurrence to learn from and improve our systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred

• 2–5 years of recruiting experience, ideally in food manufacturing or high-volume production environments

• Familiarity with food industry roles and regulatory requirements (e.g., USDA, FDA, GMP)

• Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment platforms

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Proactive sourcing and networking abilities.

• Knowledge of employment law and hiring best practices

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment

Work Environment and Availability 

• Office-based with regular interaction in production areas (production floor exposure, PPE requirements)

• Willingness to work flexible hours or support multiple shifts if required

• May require occasional travel for recruitment or training
