Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77075Assistant Branch Manager Location: Southeast Branch, Houston, TX 77075 Employment Type: Full Time Work Hours: Branch Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 6:15pm; Saturday: 8:30am – 2:30pm. Role: Looking for an outgoing personality to direct a medium size, Credit Union facility located in Houston, Texas. This individual will ensure the Branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service and growth plans and is committed to the vision of the Credit Union. Successful candidate should be self-motivated, energetic, and take initiative. Possess strong communication, interpersonal and writing skills. Be committed to being part of an organization that is passionate about impacting our members’ life. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations, suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups. Assists members with submitting loan requests and collecting required documentation needed. Directs, develops, motivates, and disciplines branch personnel; administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions. Develop and promote great community relationships and cultivate opportunities for business development in order to grow branch through community involvement and bring in new Business Partners in the area branch is located. Monitors branch operations and operating results relative to established objectives and goals and insures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions. Prepares and submits standard reports and attends scheduled management meetings. Assists with opening and closing of members’ accounts, answers questions on services and products available at the Credit Union and help with member problems. Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. Help minimize loss of account relationships and introduce existing members and new members to new services. Must have ability to implement programs, set priorities and guide/lead others toward required goals. Maintains open communication with their AVP and SVP. Other duties as assigned. Performance Measurements: To provide friendly, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates. To maintain a cohesive, highly trained, and motivated staff, sufficient to meet needs of members. To trouble shoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner. To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance. Management is informed of key operating issues affecting the department and the Credit Union. Knowledge and Skills: Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Other Skills: Be proficient in Word and Excel.
