Hiring: BOH Leader
Location: Dish Society Heights
Full-Time – Open Availability Required

Are you a strong kitchen leader who still loves being on the line? At Dish Society, our BOH Leads aren’t standing off to the side — they’re in it with the team, leading by example every shift.

This role is built for experienced BOH leaders who know how to run a kitchen and work a station at the same time. You’ll be fully integrated into the line while also owning leadership responsibilities like coaching, quality control, and execution.

If you’re looking for a role where you can lead, develop people, and still stay hands-on in the kitchen — this is it

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Work a station every shift — this is a hands-on role where you’re part of the line, not separate from it
  • Lead the flow of the kitchen in real time by managing ticket times, communication, and team positioning
  • Coach and develop BOH team members on the line, reinforcing recipes, standards, and efficiency
  • Ensure all food meets Dish Society specs for quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Support ordering, inventory awareness, and product management to keep the kitchen set up for success
  • Open or close the kitchen using established systems, ensuring readiness, cleanliness, and organization
  • Maintain strong food safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Partner with FOH leadership to ensure a smooth service and strong guest experience
  • Step into leadership moments naturally — solving problems, supporting the team, and keeping the kitchen moving
  • Uphold and model Dish Society’s values of hospitality, pride, growth, and connectedness

Who You Are:

  • An experienced BOH leader — you’ve led shifts or teams in a kitchen before
  • A working leader — you don’t just direct, you lead from the station alongside your team
  • Calm, focused, and decisive under pressure
  • Highly reliable and accountable — your team knows they can count on you
  • Detail-driven — you care deeply about food quality, cleanliness, and consistency
  • A coach — you naturally teach, support, and elevate the people around you
  • Comfortable working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays — you understand the rhythm of the industry
  • At least 18 years old with strong kitchen experience required

Schedule & Availability:

This role is typically scheduled 45-50 hours per week, with flexibility based on business needs. Open availability is strongly preferred, including a mix of AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:
This is an hourly leadership role based on experience. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.

Why Join Dish Society?

  • Team-first culture — our BOH and FOH operate as one team
  • Growth-minded environment — real opportunities to grow into higher leadership roles
  • Continued Development — plus a kitchen you’ll be proud to be part of
  • A meaningful mission — focused on quality ingredients, local sourcing, and doing things the right way
  • Perks that support your wellness— including leader meal cards and benefits designed to support your day-to-day
  • Medical benefits & 401(k) — options to support your health now and your future ahead

At Dish Society, leadership isn’t about standing back — it’s about stepping up. If you’re ready to lead from the line and make an impact every shift, we’d love to meet you.

Work schedules will include a mix of AM, PM, and mid shifts, as well as weekends and holidays. Open availability is required for all leadership roles to ensure consistent coverage during peak business times.
