Summary:

We are seeking a Claims Specialist to join our Corporate Insurance Department at our Houston office. This is a unique opportunity for a claim professional with experience as a claims adjuster or handler to work in an in-house claims handling role.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling subrogation, auto liability, and general liability claims, with exposure to retail and trucking claims strongly preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Oversight of a TPA caseload of auto liability and general liability claims. Personal Responsibility for subrogation claims handled in-house from initial notice through recovery.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinate claims Investigation, gather in-house documents, evaluate liability, damages, and reserves. Coordinate employee interviews and reserves/settlement authority with internal business units.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Work collaboratively with our in-house Insurance Team on claim strategy and risk mitigation.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinate payment of claims with third-party administrator and help to facilitate a large deductible international insurance program.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Monitor reserves, document claim activity, and prepare reports for management.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with identification of loss trends and opportunities for risk mitigation.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Handling claims and decision making within a corporate, in-house claims role.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Direct collaboration with legal, risk, and business leadership.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Growth Opportunity into TPA oversight and claims administration.

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 degree or equivalent work experience.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Minimum 2-5 years of claims handling experience.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prior insurance carrier claims department experience preferred.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated experience handling subrogation claims.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with auto liability and general liability claims strongly preferred.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Exposure to retail and/or trucking claims is a plus.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments in a face-paced environment.
