Program Summary

Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled SATCOM Electronics Technician to support the operation and maintenance of satellite communications systems. This role ensures reliable telecommunications by performing corrective and preventive maintenance, system monitoring, and quality control under the guidance of the Lead SATCOM Technician. Minimum 2 years of recent experience in SATCOM facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor SATCOM Earth Terminal Systems during assigned shifts.
  • Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance per SOPs and supervisor directives.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues using technical documentation.
  • Configure, test, align, and inspect telecommunications systems to meet operational standards.
  • Monitor system alarms and respond to order-wire queries promptly.
  • Conduct performance testing using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation.
  • Support additional duties as required by mission and contract needs.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass overseas medical screening.

Preferred Certifications & Training

  • IT or electronics certifications are a plus.
  • Completion of U.S. Navy SATCOM “C” School or equivalent electronics training.

Education & Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with electronic systems such as AN/GSC-52B, JUNIPER M/20, RT-2200, AN/WSC-3, DAMA, KIV-7M, KWR-4, and fiber optic or comparable systems.
