Responsibilities and Duties

  • Productivity level must consistently equal the company’s productivity as defined by work instructions.
  • Maintain excellent TPM housekeeping in accordance with company standards both within the maintenance shop and in the plant.
  • Troubleshooting instrumentation/control/electrical problems and advise engineers in troubleshooting process problems.
  • Providing technical assistance to unit operations, project engineers, and contract engineers on an as needed basis (project and non-project work).
  • Recommend newer technologies for the replacement of obsolete equipment.
  • Prepare field change packages for new instrument installations and upgrades.
  • Ensuring that all instrumentation, control systems, electrical and information systems documentation is up-to-date (including Mechanical Integrity documentation)
  • Designing, developing, and repairing all aspects of instrument / electrical control systems and instrument / electrical equipment. Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
  • Writing, modifying, and reviewing procedures for plant improvements and safety

Qualifications

  • 5 years of verifiable experience in the Instrument craft within the petrochemical industry preferred.
  • Ability to lift approx. 50lbs., climb stairs & ladders, and work at elevation (scaffolds, hydraulic lifts, ladders)
  • Use of hand wrenches & breathing apparatus (self-contained)

Desired Skills -

  • Perform instrumentation and electrical assignments with minimal supervision.
  • I&E Tech is expected to have a strong sense of ownership for their work and workplace.
  • I&E Tech communicates with plant personnel with very limited directional guidance from my supervisors.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Knowledge proficiency in LOTO.
  • Ability to read and participate in (RCA) Root Cause Analysis.

COMPENSATION DETAILS

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. (Specific rate to be determined, but not limited to, geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).

Pay: $47.00 - $51.00 per hour to start. Potential for increase after probation and training completion.
