In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel and natural gas generators ranging from 20 kW to 500 kW. You will work in a controlled shop environment, ensuring equipment is fully tested, repaired, and ready for deployment.

What You’ll Do (Your Day-to-Day)
Â
Shop-Based Service & Repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance and assist with advanced corrective maintenance on generators and enginesÂ
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on diesel and gas generatorsÂ
- Replace components such as batteries, belts, hoses, filters, and fluidsÂ
- Perform load bank testing (reactive and resistive)Â
- Install block heaters and battery chargersÂ
- Assist with generator rebuilds, control panel work, and electrical troubleshootingÂ
- Work with Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and related electrical systemsÂ
- Set up, test, and operate equipment within the shopÂ
Diagnostics & Quality Control
- Accurately evaluate and troubleshoot generator issues (e.g., fuel systems, electrical faults, battery failures)Â
- Document all repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance work clearly and accuratelyÂ
- Ensure all equipment meets quality and performance standards before leaving the shopÂ
Team Support
- Assist in training and mentoring Level I & II techniciansÂ
- Collaborate with team members to complete shop workloads efficientlyÂ
Safety
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulationsÂ
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentÂ
- Wear appropriate PPE at all timesÂ
- Report unsafe conditions to managementÂ

- Provide and maintain personal tools required for the roleÂ
- Attend training sessions as requiredÂ
- Perform additional duties as assignedÂ

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Graduation from Technician/Maintenance training program preferred
Certifications & Licenses
- Possess a valid Texas driver's license
Experience
- 10 years of experience in a related field
