Lead Designer

•             Review project specifications.

•             Review quote to verify what was sold to the client.

•             Review design instructions, plot plan, flow diagrams, and supplier information.

•             Perform computer layouts using specifications, standard drawings, design instructions, plot plan, flow diagrams, line list and supplier information.

•             Learn and Complete computer drawings, Production Equipment: General Arrangements plan and elevation, P&IDs, skid, and vessels.

•             Create Drawings in CadWorx and in AutoCad.

•             Correct and release drawings and vessel calcs to shop for fabrication.

•             Develop Bills of Material relative to design documentation.

•             Run ASME code calcs for vessels. i.e. Compress Codeware program.

•             Ability to Check Drawings Dimensionally

•             Must adhere to company policies and procedures

•             High School Diploma or equivalent

•             Associate Degree preferred or Technical Degree

 

•             8 + years designing and documenting mechanical, pipe, structural and civil experience

•             Working knowledge in compression, production equipment and process equipment

•             Experience in related industry

 

•             Proficient using 3-D CadWorx design; proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), proficient with email system, Microsoft Outlook preferred; AutoCAD.

 

•             Must have the ability to learn and develop system design CAD files or drawings in conformance with project specifications, scope of work, design parameters, codes, and industry practices. Work assignments should be made based on the training and experience of the designer weighed against the complexity of the equipment and piping.

•             Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

•             Good organizational and planning skills

•             Must be able to perform task with minimal guidance or supervision

 

Physical Power: Walks, sits, stands in place, arm/wrist/hand movement, lifts. Must be able to work under deadline pressure. Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.
