Job DetailsJob Location: Houston - HOUSTON, TX 77066Position Type: Full TimeGeneral Summary: Reports directly to the Traffic Manager. Responsible for the safe transfer of products from Houston Distributing Company’s (HDC’s) supplier’s warehouses, hauling cooperage, dunnage and back hauls as directed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: When requested punctual pick up and delivery of transfers from HDC’s warehouses. Punctual pick up and delivery of scheduled back-hauls and scheduled loads from HDC’s suppliers and freight customers. Compliance with all safety procedures within the confines of HDC’s suppliers and freight customer’s properties. Must be capable of delivering to and picking up from each of HDC’s freight customers. Accurate entry of required DOT logs or electronic HOS information. Responsible for ensuring compliance of State weight regulations for both the axle and gross weight of assigned loads and the correct setting of bulkheads to accommodate the assigned order/package to be picked up. Maintains the cleanliness of assigned equipment. Daily pre & post trip inspections. Scheduling of assigned equipment repairs and preventive maintenance with appropriate equipment provider. Other Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Will assist with other projects as required. 2. Attired at all times in an HDC approved uniform QualificationsJob Specifications: 1. Class A CDL 2.
