Job Overview:

Small Cell Technician daily duties include but not limited to:

  • Installation, troubleshooting and repair of 5G Small Cell Radios, Antennas, cabling, and power along the public right of way. 

  • 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency repairs.

  • Safely close and re-open traffic lanes to complete work.

  • Provide real-time status updates of assigned work.

  •  Collect and submit required information and photos of completed work for job closure.

  • Remove/Replace or install Small Cell wood, metal or composite utility poles.

  • Assist fiber crews with temporary aerial fiber installation or removal as needed.

  • Remove and re-hang aerial fiber splice cases as needed.

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with handheld power tools.

  • Must be over 21 with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.

  • Must be physically capable of lifting 60lbs and working outdoors in Heat and Cold.

  • Must have basic knowledge of electric wiring and testing.

  • Previous experience with RF installation, troubleshooting, and repair.

  • Previous bucket truck operation experience a plus.

  • Class A – CDL

*Previous Small Cell, RF Experience, or Aerial OSP Experience is a plus*
