WAREHOUSE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
A leader in the plastics industry is looking for a hands-on, dependable person to join our team in Houston. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team that builds commercial and residential skylights from start to finish. If you like working with your hands, take pride in quality work, and want to learn a trade, we’ll train you.
A leader in the plastics industry is looking for a hands-on, dependable person to join our team in Houston. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team that builds commercial and residential skylights from start to finish. HOURS: Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm.
COMPENSATION: $18.00/hour + benefits (overtime as needed)
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Cut, form, and assemble acrylic and polycarbonate skylight components
- Assemble and fasten skylight frames using power and hand tools
- Read measurements and work orders to build to spec
- Inspect finished units for quality before they ship
- Package, label, and load finished skylights for customer orders and will-call pickups
- Keep your workstation, tools, and shop clean and organized
- Support the team wherever needed. On a crew of three, everyone pitches in.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Power tool experience required
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
- Experience with fabrication, carpentry, sheet metal, glazing, or plastics is a big PLUS, but we’ll train the right person
- Comfortable using a tape measure and doing basic shop math
- Forklift experience preferred, not required
- 18+ years old with a clean driving record
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Dependable, with excellent attendance. On a small team, attendance is a BIG deal.
- Detail-oriented. Our customers count on skylights that fit right and don’t leak.
