The Purchasing Intern provides general support to the Purchasing department by assisting with tasks, assignments, and projects relating to Purchasing functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Shadow Purchasing Agents on negotiating process and rebate agreements for major vendors/contractors.
- Assist Purchasing Agents to establish pricing and costs to be used by the Estimating Department.
- Compare and evaluate market for new, potential contractors/vendors.
- Review bids to ensure accuracy.
·       Complete special projects as requested.

- High School Diploma and current enrollment in University required.
- Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- You must be able to work at least 40 hours a week. The schedule is Monday through Friday.
