Job Summary

We are seeking a Special Events Coordinator, temporary assignment with potential to full time.  This position Plans and coordinates events by selecting venues, adhere to budgets, arrange onsite vendors and ensure client satisfaction for the scheduled event. 

Job Duties

  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate prospect/ donor database and gift acknowledgements for Annual Gifts.
  • Act as liaison/coordinator for Independent Fundraising events
  • Support Annual Gifts Manager with all aspects of special events hosted by The Rose.
  • Assists with Annual Gifts collateral.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; and cross-training as needed.
  • Acts as liaison between The Rose and community organizations, third parties and others who offer to host events to benefit The Rose.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Training:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, with one or two years’ experience in a non-profit setting including special events, and individual fundraising.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Excellent record-keeping, attention to detail and organizational skills required. 
  •  Ability and willingness to travel to meetings and events as needed. 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in the context of a fast-moving organizational culture. 
  • Working knowledge of donor databases preferred. 
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software preferred, Excel and Word required.
