Legacy is seeking a dependable and skilled Full-Time Maintenance Technician to support a 98-unit, market-rate community in Howell, MI. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning property for our residents. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the overall upkeep of the property, including grounds maintenance, unit repairs, and timely completion of work orders. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, and committed to delivering high-quality service. This position requires flexibility, including availability for on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours. Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.


Qualifications


  • At least 1 year of maintenance or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, structural, and appliance repair 
  • Experience with drywall repair and painting required 
  • Ability to manage and improve property grounds
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently 
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with team members and residents 
  • Customer-service mindset with strong communication skills 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
