Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA provides individualized treatments designed to improve residents' mobility, strength, function, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist. 
  • Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and independence. 
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the PT and nursing team. 
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. 
  • Educate residents and families on techniques to support safety and continued progress. 
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to achieve resident goals. 
  • Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment

Requirements

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. 
  • Current West Virginia PTA license. 
  • CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire. 
  • Skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric experience preferred. 
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and resident-centered care skills. 
  • Ability to safely assist with resident transfers and lift up to 50 pounds.
