Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA provides individualized treatments designed to improve residents' mobility, strength, function, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and independence.
Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the PT and nursing team.
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Educate residents and families on techniques to support safety and continued progress.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to achieve resident goals.
Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current West Virginia PTA license.
CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
Skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric experience preferred.
Strong communication, teamwork, and resident-centered care skills.
Ability to safely assist with resident transfers and lift up to 50 pounds.
