Description
Data Systems Analysts, Inc. has an opening for a Senior Software Developer in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain enterprise applications and automated collaborative tools on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 platforms, support knowledge management initiatives for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, and ensure solutions comply with DoD cybersecurity and configuration management requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise applications on SharePoint platforms, including SharePoint Online, PowerAutomate, and PowerApps integration.
  • Proficiency in web and database application development using ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, JQuery, XML, CSS, SQL Server, and web services.
  • Ability to independently produce technical documentation for knowledge management operations, including implementation procedures, planning, workflows, schedules, and application design.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather requirements, convert them into functional applications, and manage the design and functional integrity of solutions.
  • Experience conducting code reviews for security compliance, best practices, and performance, as well as analyzing and optimizing new and existing code.
  • Should have at least 6-years experience performing software development in DoD environments on mid-sized to major warfighter programs.
  • Must hold current Security + Certification and relevant computing environment certifications to comply with DoD 8140/8570 requirements for privileged network access.

Clearance Required

  • Minimum of an active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Army IT environments.
  • Familiarity with Army Regulation (AR) 25-1 and DA PAM 25-1-1 for IT operations.
  • Knowledge of DoD Cybersecurity/Information Assurance policies and DISA STIGs.
  • Experience with configuration management boards (CCB) and technical review boards (TRB).
  • Additional certifications in software development, cybersecurity, or cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop automated collaborative tools, database solutions, and document management systems to support USASMDC Knowledge Management initiatives.
  • Provide SharePoint development and administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance within NIPRNet/SIPRNet environments.
  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise applications and workflows on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • Produce technical documentation, including implementation procedures, planning, and training materials.
  • Conduct code reviews for security compliance and performance, and ensure software solutions comply with DoD cybersecurity and configuration management requirements.
  • Collaborate with government personnel and other contractors to deliver robust, secure, and efficient knowledge management solutions.
