As a Radar Production Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing and repair ofĀ 

weather radar equipment and subassembly components used in forecasting and monitoring of weather.


Primary Responsibilities:

•  Assemble and construct radar systems, subassemblies, cable assemblies, and components followingĀ 

documentation and specifications, ensuring all assemblies adhere to required standards.

• Ā Conduct testing and quality control measures, perform assembly tests, diagnose malfunctions inĀ 

equipment, and perform quality assurance checks to verify component functionality and accuracy inĀ 

accordance with provided documentation.

• Ā Use documentation, including bills of materials, interconnection diagrams, and test documents,Ā 

to perform troubleshooting and fault identification in radar system subassembly components, 

identifying defective parts prior to assembly completion.

• Ā Maintain accurate records of construction and testing for production assemblies, documenting anyĀ 

issues encountered and suggesting improvements to enhance product quality.

• Ā Collaborate closely with production staff, quality assurance team members, and engineers to alignĀ 

production goals and enhance overall product quality and efficiency.


Desired Experience and Skills:

•  Experience in Electronics or Manufacturing - Typically, 2-5 years of experience in electronics,Ā 

manufacturing, or a related field, preferably in radar, telecommunications, or RF (radio frequency) 

systems.

• Ā Educational Background – Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics, ElectricalĀ 

Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is desired. Relevant certifications or 

equivalent experience may also be accepted.

• Ā Proficiency in utilization of hand tools - Skilled in the use of basic hand tools (e.g.,Ā 

screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons) for assembly and repair tasks;Ā 

knowledgeable in proper termination methods, including crimping, soldering, and wire stripping, toĀ 

ensure secure and reliable connections per industry standards.

• Ā Attention to Detail and Quality Orientation - Strong attention to detail, with a focus onĀ 

ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

• Ā Communication and Teamwork Skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strongĀ 

communication skills for coordinating with production, quality assurance, and engineeringĀ 

departments.

• Ā Problem-Solving Abilities - Proficiency in troubleshooting and critical thinking to diagnose andĀ 

resolve technical issues.

• Ā Time Management and Organizational Skills - Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks,Ā 

and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment.

• Ā Commitment to Safety and Compliance - Familiarity with ESD safety, OHSA Electrical SafetyĀ 

standards, Quality Management Standards (ISO 9001/14001), and MIL-STDs applicable to electronics manufacturing.
