The energy modeler has high visibility within one of our fastestgrowing and most successful divisions. In this role, you will be a keyplayer in the team’s success. You will work daily with the professionalengineers and project managers as part of our Energy Services division. Theenergy modeler is organized, analytical and possesses strong business judgmentand communication skills needed to interact with various organizational departments. In theenergy modeler role, you will grow professionally and have an opportunity tolead a team!

Our clients includearchitects, engineering, and construction firms that provide designs for large commercialbuildings. The focus for the client is to benefit from tax incentives realizedthrough our expert analysis of their energy-efficient designs implemented intothese buildings. Each client works with a team of alliantgroup professionalsincluding project managers, engineers, energy modelers, government relationsprofessionals, attorneys, CPAs and more! Clients who qualify for theselucrative state and federal incentives have an opportunity to reinvest and growtheir businesses and create jobs.

What will be your responsibilities:

Ø Conduct building operation energy performancesimulations utilizing both industry standard and state of the art, proprietarymodeling software.

Ø Analyze and transform construction drawings,specifications, field-notes and photographs into 3-D models of existingbuildings.

Ø Understand complex building science and howthe performance of building components is intricately related, including HVAC,electrical, and building envelope systems.

Ø Actively participate in daily projectdiscussions and meetings to review project content and meet deadlines.

Ø Develop and improve current business practicesand proprietary software used within our company by providing expert opinionand feedback across teams.

Ø Expectation of confidentiality in all businessmatters - we work on some of the most secure facilities in the country.

What are we looking for:

Ø Knowledge in Building Energy Modeling or MEPEngineering

Ø Architectural or Engineering degree required.

Ø Experience in HVAC design preferred.

Ø Proficiency with eQuest / Design Builder / CADsoftware

Ø Excellent verbal and written communicationskills

Ø Excellent problem-solving, research andanalytical skills
