Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and highly skilled Welder to join our production team in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-precision welding work on a variety of metal components and structures. We are looking for an experienced professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, follows safety procedures, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

● Use welding equipment, electricity, and gas torches to join metal components.

● Weld and assemble components made from steel, titanium, copper, and other metals.

● Perform welding work on both small components, such as copper plumbing, and larger structures, including pipelines, beams, and metal frameworks.

● Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches to complete welding tasks according to specifications.

● Assess equipment, structures, and materials to determine appropriate welding positions and methods.

● Select suitable welding techniques and equipment based on the materials and requirements of each project.

● Operate welding equipment and related machinery safely and efficiently.

● Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet required quality standards.

● Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.

● Follow workplace health and safety regulations and company procedures.

● Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Requirements

● Minimum of 2 years of relevant welding experience or experience in a similar role.

● Good knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.

● Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches.

● Strong command of the English language.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

● Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.

● Ability to work with different types of metals and welding applications.

● Trade qualification or vocational training in welding is preferred.
