The Project: Mace is seeking a full time Cost Estimator for Life Science and Industrial Manufacturing projects to work directly with our clients on capital projects.

You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Serving as a client-facing cost estimator who assists with tactical, and technical advice.
  • Creating cost estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations, at all levels of project development, as part of the internal team.
  • Highly competent in the measurement of quantities for input into cost models, cost plans, cost estimates and bills of quantities using both traditional and digital methods.
  • Ability to create area schedules.
  • Proficient in the use of estimating/billing software.
  • Preparing cost modelling and benchmarking dashboards.
  • Providing a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate our client's project and strategic goals.
  • Performing quantity take-off in a manner and level of detail consistent with the project goals.
  • Assuring that a quality product is presented to the client through adherence to the company's QA/QC procedures.
  • Communicating effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project's goals (verbal, written, and graphics).
  • Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining accuracy of cost information.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or architecture; or any degree with construction/design-related experience.
  • You have consistent cost estimating experience with a strong focus on life science and or industrial manufacturing projects.
  • You are an expert user Onscreen Take-off (OST) software or similar industry software.
  • You have a professional cost estimating certification (preferred).
