Gateway Plaza. Position requires onsite training and will transition to a remote work arrangement. Candidates must reside in Indiana.

Key Benchmarks

3 Months: Independently schedule appointments
6 Months: Manage pool messages
12 Months: Fully functional across all 10 elements of the role

Primary Responsibilities

Facilitate patient flow from check-in through check-out
Verify insurance coverage and update patient demographics
Schedule patient appointments
Communicate effectively with patients, team members, referring offices, and the SPA team
Obtain accurate financial and demographic information to support reimbursement and patient care
Explain department and hospital policies, charges, and payment requirements
Enter charges into applicable systems and collect payments as needed
Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately

Insurance verification and interpretation experience

Onboarding & Training

Two weeks of department standard work training
Competency validation in:
- Cerner
- Scheduling workflows
- Web-based learning modules
- Oracle

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED is required.
Prefer relevant experience in a health care setting.
Ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding preferred.
Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
