The Student Worker in the Athletic Ticket Office provides outstanding customer service while assisting with ticket sales, game-day operations, and event access. This position supports the daily functions of the ticket office by selling tickets, managing Will Call, scanning tickets at venue entrances, and ensuring a positive experience for fans attending athletic events.

Work Schedule 

5-10 hours per week, only Athletic Game Days between August and March. Will include weekends.

Position Responsibilities

  • Sell tickets for athletic events using Archtics.
  • Process cash and credit card accurately.
  • Prepare, organize, and distribute Will Call tickets to guests on event days.
  • Resolve Will Call inquiries professionally.
  • Scan digital and printed tickets at venue entrances using handheld scanners.
  • Welcome guests and provide directions and general event information.
  • Monitor entry gates to ensure only valid tickets are accepted.
  • Troubleshoot ticket scanning issues and escalate concerns to supervisors when necessary. 

Required Qualifications

  • Current enrollment as a student in good academic standing.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle cash and maintain accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Comfortable working with computers, ticketing software, and mobile scanning devices. 
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to remain professional and courteous in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions during events. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, or event experience. 
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Archtics. 
  • Interest in collegiate athletics and sporting events.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance. 
  • Comply with University standards and policies. 
  • Ensure confidentiality of information.
