Guardian Tax is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Irvine, CA!

Earn $27–$33 per hour PLUS performance-based bonuses!

We're seeking a motivated, numbers-driven professional who can confidently manage financial records, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate bookkeeping for our growing business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and bookkeeping accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Record, categorize, and verify financial transactions.
• Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Communicate with clients and internal departments regarding financial documentation and account information.
• Ensure bookkeeping practices comply with applicable accounting standards.
• Support additional accounting and financial operations as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks required.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in a tax preparation, accounting, or financial services environment.
• Experience managing bookkeeping for multiple clients or businesses.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting and tax-related financial documentation.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time
Work Arrangement: 100% In-Office — No Remote or Hybrid Options
Compensation: $27.00–$33.00 per hour + Performance-Based Bonuses
