Overview

The Manager – Treasury is responsible for leading strategic treasury initiatives that improve the efficiency, control environment, scalability, and technology capabilities of Highgate's treasury function. This role oversees daily treasury activities, banking relationships, cash management structures, compliance requirements, and treasury-related projects. Acting as a key liaison between Treasury, Accounting, IT, Merchant Services, Banking Partners, Shared Services, and hotel operations, this position will ensure successful implementation of treasury-related projects, banking initiatives, system enhancements, cash management solutions, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead treasury projects and hotel transitions from initiation through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Manage treasury-related system implementations and enhancements, including treasury management systems, banking platforms, payment technologies, and automation initiatives.
  • Lead bank account and merchant ID onboarding associated with hotel acquisitions, dispositions, openings, and transitions.
  • Partner with banks and service providers on treasury product implementations, account structures, DACA/BACA/CMA agreements, merchant services, and cash concentration strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, banking regulations, and internal control requirements for all treasury related activities, including payments, online access and KYC requests.
  • Manage the delivery of required information needed to adhere to internal and external audits by ensuring compliance with government regulatory and SOX Compliance.
  • Develop and manage project trackers, business requirements, implementation plans, and training and communication strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and automate treasury processes, improving efficiency, reducing risk, and enhancing internal controls.
  • Develop and maintain treasury policies, procedures, workflows, and training documentation.
  • Support strategic initiatives involving refinancing transactions, cashless conversions, ERP enhancements, and treasury operational transformations.
  • Prepare executive-level project updates, presentations and KPIs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of Treasury, Banking, or Treasury Technology experience.
  • Strong project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS), ERP systems (Oracle preferred), banking platforms, and desire to use AI to solve real-world problems.
  • Strong understanding of cash management, bank account structures, payment processing, and treasury controls.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.

Preferred Experience

  • Hotel, hospitality, real estate, or multi-entity/unit treasury operations.
  • Acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, and transition management.
  • Treasury system selection and implementation projects.
  • Banking relationship management and treasury product implementation.
  • Treasury automation, process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • PMP, CTP, or equivalent professional certification a plus.
