The Center for Career Exploration & Development is looking for a Host to continue our successful career-focused podcast ā€œCareer Cornerā€ into Season 7 and beyond. ā€œCareer Cornerā€ includes interviews with students, alumni, faculty, professional staff and other experts in the field who share their success stories and will provide the latest information that will help Bombers in their career journey. The Career Center is looking for an engaging and energetic host to join the podcast in the Fall of 2026.Ā

ā€œCareer Cornerā€ is an interview-based video podcast released on YouTube and Spotify. Ā As host, this individual will be the face and voice of the show. They will be responsible for preparing for and conducting interviews with IC alums, current students/faculty/staff, and industry experts on a variety of career development topics.Ā Ā 

Ā Ā 

This paid position allows a student to use their creativity and communication skills to have engaging conversations related to topics of career exploration and development.Ā Ā 

Ā  Ā Pay rate: $16.00

Job DescriptionĀ 

  • The Host of the podcast will be working closely with the student Producer to enact the podcast production timeline (approximately ten episodes per semester/season)Ā 
  • The Host will record interviews, using IC recording equipment or their personal laptop, with IC alums, and current students/faculty/staff.Ā Ā 
  • This role will work with the Producer to develop engaging questions and themes for each episode.Ā Ā 
  • The Host will work alongside the Director and Associate Director of the Career Center (along with other staff as needed) who will provide context and direction and will have final determination, along with other necessary stakeholders, regarding what the finished product needs to include.Ā Ā 
  • This student employment position will take place from August 2026, through the end of the fall 2026 semester (with the opportunity to continue into the spring if all parties are interested) and the Host will be expected to work 3-5 hours per week.Ā 
  • This role will be conducted completely in-person, with the need to produce the actual episodes in a studio on campus.Ā

  • Proficiency in Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Zoom, or other related software preferredĀ Ā
