Job Duties:

Tutoring for the Introduction to Music Studies class (MUTH 11100) an average of 2 hours per week in the fall semester.

Hours Per Week: 2

Pay Rate: $16.00/hour

Anticipated Work Schedule:

1 hour per day Monday/Wednesday or 1 hour per day Tuesday/Thursday for each week in the Fall 2026 semester.

Qualifications:

Outstanding academic achievement as evidenced by GPA
Outstanding achievement in aural skills and music theory courses, with grades of A or A- in each course taken
Formal or informal experience teaching/tutoring music theory suggested
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work during posted hours
Required strong experience with music technology, including facility with Canvas, Microsoft 365, Audacity, Spotify, and MuseScore
Personal qualities conducive to one-on-one conferences, such as a friendly, approachable manner; patience; good listening abilities; and a sense of maturity and responsibility
