Software Engineer - Jira/Java/Postgres - 20+ yrs of Experience (PARTIAL TELEWORK) - TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required - BT Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Software Engineer with back-end development experience. Location: Annapolis Junction, MD/Hybrid Travel Required: No Shift: Day Remote Type: Hybrid (Up to 16 hours of telework dependent on tasking) Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI Polygraph: Required Salary Range The projected compensation range for this position is 233K-246K (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. |
Requirements
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
- Conduct design and code reviews.
- Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Experience with the following software development skills:
Git
Java, C++, and/or Python
Relational database, such as Postgres
- A Master's degree with seventeen (17) years of software engineering experience
- OR a Bachelor’s degree with twenty (20) years of software engineering experience in a Qualified Engineering Field (Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management) or a related discipline (Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics) from an accredited college or university
- OR a High School Diploma or GED with twenty-four (24) years of software engineering experience.
