Hospital Pharmacist, Emergency Medicine - 7 on/7 off

OVERVIEW

Provides expert pharmacy support within the emergency medicine setting, serving as a trusted clinical resource for healthcare teams and delivering professional, patient-focused care. Maintains current clinical knowledge through continuing education, professional literature review, and ongoing self-evaluation to support safe and effective medication management.

Schedule: 7 On / 7 Off

Shift: 11:00 AM–9:30 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

• Maintains professionalism and conducts self as a role model, serving as a resource for all health system partners.
• Is an expert staff pharmacist who relies on skills of comprehensive knowledge and experience.
• Maintains practice by ongoing professional literature review, continuing education and self-evaluation.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Program

Hospital Pharmacy experience or residency preferred

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

Wisconsin/Illinois Registered Pharmacist License or eligible

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent interpretive/analytical skills for pharmaceutical applications
Strong accuracy skills
Computer experience

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION

Work requires a moderate level of independent judgment along with good interpretative and interpersonal skills with justification and accountability to Supervisor, Manager, and Director.

SUPERVISES

This position supervises technicians. This position is involved in the recruitment and orientation process and provides performance feedback and input for performance evaluation purposes. May implement coaching, counseling, and corrective action when needed.
