Accounts Receivable Generalist

Job Description:

Job Overview: As an AR Generalist, the successful candidate needs to have broad experience in Accounts Receivable which includes but is not limited to handing Inbound & Outbound Collection Calls, Billing, Cash Application, and Customer Account Reconciliation.  This position works in a team-based atmosphere with Associate-Owners working together to drive process improvements and drive results.

Location: 100% onsite at our headquarters facility at 815 Wernsing Road, Jasper IN 47546

Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8:15 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (45-minute lunch break)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Obtain Customer payment information by phone (this is over 50% of the daily work for this position)
• Reconcile AR Aging for select customers on a timely basis
• When required, Invoice Customers in accordance with policies
• Process AR transactions to include Cash Application
• Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements
• Assist applying customer payments to accounts when business need occurs
• Assist other accounting personnel with workloads as needed
• Assist with collection efforts and all associated functions
• General accounting & administrative duties as required including answering the phone and outbound calls to our customers
• Customer Data Entry

Requirements:

• AR experience in mid-size to large companies
• Familiarity with accounts AR functions
• General Accounting experience with a good understanding of transaction flows
• Strong analytical skills
• Able to understand Customer transactions
• Computer skills are required, proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus (but not required)

Pay Range:

$19/hour, based on experience
