Job responsibilitiesÂ
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsÂ
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersÂ
- Requires 50% of the time being hands on performing code reviews or developing new codeÂ
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureÂ
- Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activitiesÂ
- Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaborationÂ
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirementsÂ

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skillsÂ
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experienceÂ
- Must have development experience in Java, Spring / SpringBoot Framework and Microservices
- Experience leading and managing software engineering teams, with a focus on individual growth and overall team performance.Â
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methodsÂ
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleÂ
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security and Practical cloud native experienceÂ
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsÂ
- Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplinesÂ
- Very good understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.Â
- Hands on experience working with high throughput, low latency distributed systems ensuring efficient communication and integration between different systems.Â
- Proven record of providing end-user support with excellent problem-solving abilities.Â
