Temporary Part-Time Research Technician - Biomedical Sciences

Job Summary:

The Department of Biomedical Sciences is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician for a Temporary, Part-Time position in the Research Laboratory of Dr. Chad Frasier.

In this vital role, under general supervision, you will work on projects to understand the development of epilepsy following traumatic brain injury across animal models.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in various research projects, 
• Perform a variety of technical duties related to conducting standardized tests and/or experiments, and 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of basic laboratory methodology
• Knowledge of business English and arithmetic
• Ability to perform basic informational research projects
• Ability to gather and compile data
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public and other employees
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office – especially Excel

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous laboratory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Two years of laboratory experience

Compensation & Benefits:

• $12.00 to $18.00 per hour based on experience
