Job Responsibilities
• Take full ownership of assigned assembly processes and ensure their stability, capability and compliance.
• Drive continuous process improvement, cost-reduction and design-improvement initiatives to achieve reliable and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Prepare and maintain product-structure and routing data in the MFG/PRO system.
• Conduct root-cause investigations into process abnormalities, production issues and customer complaints, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Train Assembly Technicians and Supervisors on assembly processes, operating requirements and process controls.
• Review tooling drawings and recommend changes arising from process or design improvements.
• Prepare, maintain and control process documentation, including Work Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Control Plans and process-verification records, in accordance with ISO requirements.
• Conduct machine buy-off activities and set up new assembly lines for production.
• Implement appropriate process-control measures for assembly operations.
• Initiate the localisation of components and support Purchasing in vendor development.
• Coordinate product transfers from other manufacturing sites as part of cost-reduction or capacity programmes.
• Communicate relevant process and design changes to affected departments and stakeholders.
• Maintain proper document control for assembly machines and related processes.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Tool and Die Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• At least three years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Familiar with manufacturing methods, assembly processes and production controls.
• Good knowledge of pneumatic equipment used in automated assembly processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


Working hours:
Mon to Fri, 8am to 5:45pm
