Job Responsibilities
• Serve as the engineering resource for molding operations, ensuring process standardisation and operational effectiveness.
• Set up and optimise processes for new tooling, moulding machines and automated loading equipment.
• Participate in early product and tooling design reviews, including tooling modifications, to ensure process robustness, product quality and required process capability.
• Provide engineering support to address production and quality issues, ensuring that problems are promptly contained, investigated and resolved.
• Drive the optimisation of existing molding processes to improve quality, productivity and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to coordinate process- and equipment-maintenance activities.
• Train and guide Process Technicians and Toolmakers to achieve their performance objectives and support organisational requirements.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• At least three years of experience in high-precision injection molding.
• Hands-on experience in molding-process setup, troubleshooting and optimisation.
• Able to operate and perform process setup on molding machines.
• Knowledge of tooling-fabrication techniques will be an added advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
