Purpose: The Community & 聽聽Behavioral Services Healing Center is seeking a mental health professional to 聽聽deliver outpatient clinical services to participants involved with our Tribal 聽聽Court鈥檚 Youth Healing to Wellness Program (ages 14-21). Healing to Wellness is 聽聽a court-diversion program. The incumbent is responsible for the development 聽聽of individualized, person-center, evidence-based treatment plans and services 聽聽including group, individual, and family services, as clinically indicated, for 聽聽each participant. They work with a multidisciplinary team that includes case 聽聽managers, toward the goal of successful community reintegration and sustained 聽聽recovery for all participants. An assessment is provided prior to acceptance 聽聽into the program to determine if the program is an appropriate fit, and what services 聽聽may be needed during their program involvement.聽

Essential Functions. An 聽聽individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with 聽聽or without reasonable accommodation:
路 Deliver 聽聽developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive 聽聽interventions for adolescent and transition-age youth (14-21) with 聽聽co-occuring disorders in Youth Healing to Wellness Court program.聽
路 Conduct comprehensive, 聽聽integrated bio-psycho-social assessments with treatment recommendations and 聽聽DSM-V-TR diagnoses.
路 Conduct criminogenic 聽聽risk needs responsivity assessments to identify risk factors, target 聽聽treatment, ensure responsivity, match treatment intensity, and to address 聽聽non-criminogenic needs.
路 Assist in identifying 聽聽appropriate program participants with an understanding of program admission 聽聽criteria.
路 Create individualized 聽聽treatment plans to direct the treament team鈥檚 services based on client needs 聽聽and evidence-based practices.
路 Provide regular 聽聽individual and/or family therapy sessions, reoccuring group therapy sessions focusing 聽聽on recovery, relapse prevention, coping skills, and life skills necessary for 聽聽successful community reentry and/or recovery.
路 Identify and utilize 聽聽appropriate and relevant substance use/group curriculums.
路 Monitor client 聽聽progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure effective 聽聽outcomes.
路 Maintain complete 聽聽participant case files with timely documentation that complies with legal, 聽聽ethical, and organizational standards.
路 Coordinate care with 聽聽probation officers, community agencies, healthcare providers, and family 聽聽members to support a holistic recovery and reentry process.
路 Plan and host or 聽聽co-host community outreach, engagement and educational activities in 聽聽collaboration with Wellness Court, commuity partners, and participants/families 聽聽to promote awareness, prevention, recovery and culturally grounded wellness 聽聽practices.
路 Participate in staff 聽聽meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development 聽聽activities.
路 Ensure compliance with 聽聽licensing, accreditation, and funding agency requirements.
路 Maintain working 聽聽knowledge of theories, principles, and program guidelines in Behavioral 聽聽Services including timely completion of all training and licensure 聽聽requirements.
路 Assist leadership in 聽聽providing support to the Wellness Court team through loss of 聽聽participants/staff or participant relapse/etc. to contribute to a healthy, 聽聽trauma-informed, and supportive work environemnt.
路 Adhere to HIPAA and 42 聽聽CFR confidentiality regulations.

路 Specialized experience 聽聽in culturally responsive substance use disorder and mental health treatment
路 Knowledge of community 聽聽needs, problems, and resources

路 Recognize and 聽聽reinforce the inherent strengths of Alaska Native/ American Indians families 聽聽and communities
路 Protect and maintain 聽聽confidentiality of participants
Minimum 聽聽Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
路 Master鈥檚 Degree or 聽聽higher in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or related field
路 Two (2) years of 聽聽clinical experience providing counseling services, preferrably with 聽聽justice-involved individuals and/or substance use disorders
路 Strong understanding 聽聽of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices for recovery.
路 Must be 21 years of 聽聽age with a Valid Driver鈥檚 License
Preferred 聽聽Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
路 Knowledge of the 聽聽Tlingit and Haida cultures and traditions
路 Current 聽聽clinical licensure in the State of Alaska聽
路 Five (5) years of 聽聽clinical experience providing culturally responsive counseling services to 聽聽Alaska Native/American Indians
路 Flexibility with 聽聽scheduling to meet clinical, programmatic, and collaborative needs, including 聽聽the ability to occasionally flex hours within a workday (e.g., offering an 聽聽evening appointment for a family), while not serving in on-call capacity.
Physical Requirements. The physical demands described here are representative of 聽聽those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential 聽聽functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation:
路 The majority of work is performed in a professional office 聽聽setting and is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, 聽聽bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 40 lbs.
