Beach House Center for Recovery is a well-established treatment facility in Palm Beach County that offers a full continuum of care to adults struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. Our goal is to give patients the freedom they have been waiting for by placing an emphasis on the healing power of love and connection. 

We are currently looking for a Florida Licensed Therapist to join our specialized Freedom First Program, providing clinical services to veterans, first responders, and other individuals who may be experiencing trauma, substance use disorders, mental health concerns and co-occurring conditions.


The ideal candidate is a military veteran and Florida-licensed mental health professional that can bring both clinical expertise and an understanding of military culture and the unique experiences of veterans to the therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to veterans, first responders, and other assigned patients
  • Facilitate trauma-informed and recovery-focused therapeutic groups
  • Identify and address underlying clinical issues contributing to mental health and substance use concerns
  • Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical assessment
  • Complete ongoing clinical assessments and documentation in accordance with facility, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
  • Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions appropriate for veterans and individuals with co-occurring disorders
  • Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and clinical support as indicated
  • Coordinate discharge and continuing-care planning with patients and the multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, nursing, case management, behavioral health, and other clinical team members
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards
  • Participate in clinical meetings, treatment team meetings, supervision, and other required facility activities
  • Promote a therapeutic environment that recognizes military culture, service-related experiences, trauma, resilience, and recovery

Qualifications Include:

  • Ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with veterans, first responders, and individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders
  • Understanding of military culture and the unique challenges that may affect veterans and their families
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment
  • Ability to effectively facilitate individual, family, and group therapy
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and crisis-intervention skills
  • Willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support best practices and positive patient outcomes
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Veteran Status:

  • Military veteran strongly preferred
  • Candidates with direct military experience and an understanding of veteran culture are encouraged to apply

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekend availability preferred

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Juno Beach, FL 33408: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Master's with a clinical major (Required)
  • FL License-LMHC, LMFT or LCSW (Required)

Experience:

  • Substance Use and and/or Mental Health Disorder Therapist: 1 year (Preferred)

All candidates offered a position must consent to a comprehensive background check including employment history, education verification, criminal records, driving history and other relevant checks.

A pre-employment drug screen is also required as part of the hiring process.
