About the Role:

Kalamazoo Metal Finishers Inc is looking for a motivated and hardworking Production Worker to join our team in Kalamazoo, MI! This is a great opportunity to build a career in metal finishing and manufacturing with a company that values quality craftsmanship and dedicated team members.

Responsibilities:

Operate production equipment and machinery in a metal finishing environment
Perform metal finishing processes such as plating, polishing, coating, or surface treatment
Inspect finished products for quality control and adherence to specifications
Load and unload parts and materials onto production lines or racks
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals
Report equipment issues or defects to supervisors promptly

Requirements:

Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or metal finishing preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety protocols
High school diploma or GED preferred

Job Summary: Responsible for the finishing of customers products within prescribed specifications and efficient machine operation.

Essential Knowledge / Tasks /Skills:

Adheres to standards of professionalism set by the Company. Functions as Member of a team that is committed to quality in metal plating finishing.
Sets up production machines daily according to established procedures.
Operates production machines to produce finished goods in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area throughout the work day. Documents line activities each day as appropriate.
Supports a culture of safe production and operations; follows all safety procedures.
Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, carrying, and reaching throughout the day; regular lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds; usage of fork-lifts is imperative.
Must be able to tolerate being on feet and/or walking for long periods of time.
Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with personnel and management.

Qualifications: HS diploma/GED or related work experience 1-year Warehouse, Manufacturing or General Labor experience preferred but not necessary.

Equipment Competencies: Fork-Truck experience is a plus.
