Job DetailsJob Location: Kansas City, MO 64120Position Type: ExemptDuties and Responsibilities Team members will be involved in all phases of the product development lifecycle, providing valuable insight, contribution and support. Join in next-generation idea generation and product development processes. Contribute to system-level architecture design and reviews. Evaluate projects and create task breakdowns and manpower estimates. Develop functional block diagrams, schematics, PCBs and assembled products with microprocessors, metrology components, communications modules, safety systems and high-voltage control interfaces. Assist in development and evaluation prototypes of products. Development and maintenance of test plans and support platforms. QualificationsEducation: BS in computer engineering or BS in electrical engineering Experience: Demonstrate or describe and document at least one microcontroller-based system principally involved in the schematic and functional design. Skills and Abilities Deep understanding of EE fundamentals: frequency/time domain relationships, signal integrity, non-ideal component effects, analog and digital circuit design knowledge Power components/systems knowledge a plus Understanding of sampling theory, ADCs, DACs, signal processing techniques Demonstrate understanding of modern microcontroller architectures: MSP430, AVR Basic knowledge of network communication protocols: TCP/IP, Ethernet, WiFi, BT Familiar with theories of robust system design Experience debugging in circuit using oscilloscopes, current probes, DMMs, etc.
