Professional Liability Underwriter

Forrest T. Jones & Company, Inc., and its affiliates (“FTJ”), provide insurance and insurance related services to clients, corporations, employers, members of associations and individuals. These services include providing benefits through innovative life and health insurance plans, financial services, and customized insurance products for niche markets.

Position Summary

Responsible for underwriting, verifying rating, and issuing direct written business for new and renewal accounts for the Educators Professional Liability Program. 

Expectations

• Provide excellent customer service to direct written business
• Timely handling of direct business – review, underwrite per the guidelines and communicate with the applicant and the carrier 
• Thorough review of all applications, communicate with applicant for additional underwriting information needed

Requisites

• P&C or professional liability underwriting experience
• P&C Agent License
