Position Summary
- Read and interpret part drawings and technical specifications
- Develop and improve inspection, work and setup instructions
- Perform testing and inspections using measuring and test equipment to include, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, protractors, height gages, gage blocks/pins and specialty gaging for stamped and fabricated parts.
- Maintain documentation and organization throughout the filing system
- Compliance through internal audits including, but not limited to, the manufacturing floor, internal company work and inspection instructions
- Through continuous improvement processes, assist with statistical studies, gage R&R’s, efficiency, product quality and implementation of improvements.
- Dimensional Layout Reports
- Interpret and compare quality standards to customer requirements
- Assistance with answering questions for customers and provide PPAP support
- Perform calibrations and maintain the calibration database for all employee, company and customer owned gaging
- Control and maintain disposition and documentation of non-conforming product
- Use good judgment and decision making on quality related issues
- Clearly and concise communication with audit findings
- Open communication with personal
- Excellent time management skills while handling multiple tasks
- Maintain a high degree of integrity
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
- Understand and follow employee handbook guidelines
- Comply with and Enforce Safety Practices and use of PPE
- Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures

- Technical aptitude for learning to inspect parts using 3D scanner with a full understanding of GD&T
- Desire for additional education and training
- Experience writing work instructions
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years of related experience and training or an equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Â Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, written or pictorial form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Able to understand file management, data and record keeping
