Position Summary
Harlan Global Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and versatile Warranty Service Technician to support our growing operations. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving warranty-related issues both remotely and at customer sites, supporting customers, and contributing to production and assembly as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Warranty Support & Customer ServiceÂ
- Serve as direct contact for customer warranty inquiries via phone and emailÂ
- Diagnose mechanical and product issues remotely and determine appropriate solutionsÂ
- Coordinate warranty claims, repairs, and replacements in a timely mannerÂ
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and responsive communicationÂ
- Field Service & TravelÂ
- Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair warranty-related issuesÂ
- Perform on-site inspections, repairs, and adjustments to equipmentÂ
- Document service visits, findings, and corrective actionsÂ
- Represent Harlan Global Manufacturing professionally while on-site with customersÂ
- Travel as required based on business needs
- No more than 30% travel
- Warranty Documentation & AdministrationÂ
- Complete and maintain accurate warranty paperwork and service recordsÂ
- Track warranty claims, root causes, and resolutions for reporting and continuous improvementÂ
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify recurring issuesÂ

- Technical & Mechanical WorkÂ
- Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild company products and componentsÂ
- Perform hands-on mechanical work including disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassemblyÂ
- Assist in product testing and validation as neededÂ
- Production & Assembly SupportÂ
- Work on the production and assembly line during peak demand or as neededÂ
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety proceduresÂ
- Support cross-functional teams to meet production goalsÂ
- Process Improvement & DocumentationÂ
- Develop and update work instructions for assembly, repair, and service proceduresÂ
- Recommend improvements to product design, manufacturability, and serviceabilityÂ
- Assist in training team members on repair techniques and best practices

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferredÂ
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in assembly, repair, or manufacturingÂ
- Experience with warranty processing, field service, or customer support preferredÂ
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manualsÂ
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites as neededÂ
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirementsÂ
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation toolsÂ
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsÂ
