Responsibilities:Â Â
- Assists in the litigation of intellectual property matters.
- Â Reviews, analyzes, organizes, assembles and summarizes technical literature and documents.
- Â Analyzes complex studies and underlying data from several technical fields.
- Â Generates extensive work product in areas of assigned expertise.
- Â Analyzes technical information in conformance with case needs, allegation, themes and legal theories.
- Â Applies technical training and expertise to the issues and needs of the practice and provides sound opinions.
- Â Evaluates claims that are subject of intellectual property litigation.
- Â Conducts research necessary to support position to defend claims, and provide any additional support necessary for the litigation.
- Â May locate appropriate experts and fact witnesses, interviews and prepares to testify for litigation matters.
- Â May prepare for examination of opposing witnesses, both fact and expert.
- Â May prepare written discovery and responses to discovery, where appropriate.
- Â Understands the full scope of litigation and recognizes helpful information to a case when reviewing documents and/or testimony.
- Â Keeps abreast of significant developments in areas of assigned responsibility and areas of expertise, in order to undertake assignments as appropriate.
- Â Keeps track of time in specified intervals and submits records as requested.
- Â Travel when necessary to conduct the duties of this position.
- Â Uses excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and is courteous and professional at all times.
- Â Keeps supervisor abreast of current issues and potential problems as they develop; seeks advice as needed.
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering, and/or Science from four-year college or university, IP Litigation support and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
